Food and Drink Manufacturing Employer Training Needs Analysis for the East Midlands

Client: National Skills Academy

 

This work identified the current and future training needs of food and drink manufacturing employers in the East Midlands and mapped the current training programmes that were being delivered across the sector. The study also made recommendations on the potential make-up of programmes to meet the training gaps identified.


A Skills Assessment and Skills Strategy for Sheffield
Client: Sheffield City Council

 

This project involved a skills demand assessment and a major business survey of 900 employers in the region. It contributed to the development of the LocalEconomic Assessment and was presented at a workshop attended by a selection of employers.

 

Occupational and Functional mapping of the Renewable Energy sub-sectors. 
Client : Energy and Utility Skills Ltd

This study produced an occupational and functional map of the energy & utility skills sector which will feed into the development of national occupational standards.  In addition, priorities areas for development were identified. The employers and lead bodies were asked to input into this study via events and a small number of face to face consultations. (www.euskills.co.uk ).

 

An international comparison of skills and productivity
Client: Skills for Health SSC


This was a review of the current understanding and availability of research on the linkage between skills and productivity in the health sector.  It aimed to provide the client with a clearer understanding of the methodology in linking skills and productivity.
