How the East of England economy compares
ECOTEC, in collaboration with Professor Robert Huggins, recently worked with EEDA on an international economic benchmarking study to develop greater understanding of the regional economy within a national and international context and to inform the implementation and delivery of EEDA's International Strategy.
The research involved analysis of a range of economic outcome measures (e.g. GVA and employment rate) as well as a number of drivers of economic performance (e.g. talent, connectivity and innovation). The research also involved the identification of a set of European and global 'peer' regions and assessment of their responses to globalisation.
