Each year, the EU awards the prestigious title of European Capital of Culture to two different cities, each of which implements a cultural programme of European significance. ECOTEC's evaluation considered the effectiveness and impact of the 2007 and 2008 title holders: Luxembourg, Sibiu (Romania), Liverpool (UK) and Stavanger (Norway).

How the East of England economy compares
ECOTEC, in collaboration with Professor Robert Huggins, recently worked with EEDA on an international economic benchmarking study to develop greater understanding of the regional economy within a national and international context and to inform the implementation and delivery of EEDA's International Strategy.

ECOTEC evaluated an extended telephone helpline service for parents. The study, commissioned by DCSF looked at Parentline’s service, assessing the effectiveness of a pilot to rollout the service to local authorities and the outcomes for parents who used the service.

National Offender Management Service
The Guide's purpose is to provide information and advice on skills and employment practice across probation and prison services. It also aims to act as a mechanism for sharing examples of recent practice in approaches to working with offenders.
