ECOTEC is managing the financial administration of the PE and Sport Strategy for Young People (PESSYP) managed by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. The aim of the PESSYP contract is to distribute grants of up to £270,000 to 450 School Sport's Partnerships to enable them to deliver PE and sport programmes for young people (5-16 years) and help put in place the five hour PE and sport offer to meet the Government Public Service Agreement indicator. ECOTEC is working in Partnership with RMS Bentley Jennison to deliver this 19 month contract.
ESF Equal Opportunities Mainstreaming Training
The overall aim of this project was to mainstream Equal Opportunities in the England and Gibraltar European Social Fund (ESF) programme 2007-2013 in order to deliver the commitment in the National Mainstreaming Plan and meet audit requirements.
Delivery involved consultations with partners including the Department for Work and Pensions, Job Centre Plus, Regional Development agencies and other Co-financing Organisations to conduct a detailed training needs analysis (TNA) at the start of the project. This enabled us to identify key issues, needs and gaps, as well as tailor the delivery of training and content in line with strategic objectives. In parallel to the TNA stage, training materials were developed. Training was delivered via 22 workshops. A final summary evaluation report was produced at the end of the programme to further maximise the effectiveness of the implementation of Equal Opportunities going forward in the ESF programme.
